The Ritz-Carlton Redeux
Featuring the city's largest spa, a 1908 Beaux Arts Maison Blanche building and a location on the edge of the bustling French Quarter, steps from all the action––be it dinner at Galatoire's, gambling at Harrah's or simply strolling along Royal Street––The Ritz-Carlton is one of the ultra-luxe options for a weekend in the Crescent City.

They've announced a renovation we felt member should know about. Dubbed the "Redeux," this $40 million dollar re-energizing of the property is already underway and will culminate in stages, with the final touches unveiled this January.
A staggering 421 guest rooms and suites will be redone, catering to the needs of the modern traveler while capturing the vibrant and colorful characteristics of the destination. These refreshed rooms will join the recently remodeled Maison Orleans Club accommodations for a fully transformed room product. The Executive suites will marry tones of sky blue and orchid, and and the Deluxe Rooms will have tones of ruby and slate.
Along with these design enhancements, guests can expect new amenities. Our personal favorite? The 25,000-square-foot Spa.
"The spa is scheduled to undergo renovation next summer," offers Annie Jones, Communications manager at the property. "In the meantime, there will be new massage tables, including two that have a base of either warm quartz sand or heated water for a more ergonomic and relaxing massage experience. Later this fall we are also looking forward to the addition of a few new body treatments and the arrival of new seersucker spa robes."
