Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur

Mr Black is the coffee liqueur for coffee purists.

It’s been almost four decades since the creation of the Espresso Martini, and there have been a few tweaks in the interim — most noticeably the name, which was changed from “vodka espresso.” But the biggest change has been in one key ingredient. Coffee liqueur back in the ‘80s was, for the most part, a sorry affair, overly sweet and syrupy and lacking coffee’s richness and complexity. Mr Black was founded by awarded distiller Philip Moore and “designer-turned-coffee snob” Tom Baker. The Australian-based company was founded in 2013 on the idea that making a great coffee liqueur requires getting people who know and love coffee to make it, which is why they brought aboard Detlef Mohr as the “Head of Coffee.” Mr Black’s roasters source specialty beans from the best growing regions on earth to create a complex spirit that's bold, balanced, and unapologetically coffee.

Mr Black makes the perfect Espresso Martini, as well as a spectacular White Russian, a glorious Coffee Negroni (Equal parts Mr Black, gin, and Campari), and a delicious Cold Brew Irish Coffee (equal parts Mr Black and Irish whiskey, with a dash of cream).
