A Preview of What's Inside
New England Charcuterie
This salami takes around 48 hours to ferment, and eight weeks to dry in our state-of-the-art drying room” - Gee Jang, production manager at New England Charcuterie. It’s ideal to pair with wine, it’s also awesome with Parmesan or goat cheese, assorted fruits and Pinot Noir. Each of these is shelf stable for three months, but you’re advised to place them in your fridge to maintain optimal flavor.
For every flavor combination at Xocolatti, it’s not only about nuance, spice, herbs and the world’s finest chocolate. It’s also about the history of this very distinct culinary art. We hope you appreciate what Xocolatti has gifted you this issue. These chocolate barks – or “slates” as the company calls them – add a new dimension to the traditional confection.
Lolli & Pops Cotton Candy
The packaging at Lolli & Pops caught our eye for this edition dedicated to the art of setting a gorgeous table. This confectionary retailer sources No. 1 options in a range of delicate, artisan candies and chocolates, from rich, creamy truffles to pumpkin smores kits to Japanese Mochi.
ForeverSpin is a company founded in 2014 that creates spinning tops out of nearly 20 different metals, from gold plated to aluminum to titanium. Each harkens back to childhood, to a time before cell phones and iPads, when kids amused themselves with dice and board games.
“I wanted a sour fruit beer that invites you to have another,” agrees Phil Leinhart, Ommegang’s Brewmaster since 2008. His Rosetta is what you have in the collection this month. Bright red cherries on a stark, white label let you know what you’re in for – a traditional Belgian Kriek.
Ski Key BC
Randall Innovations LLC was established in August 2012, by founder and President Benjamin Randall, a man who wanted to make skiing less of a hassle and more of what it was intended to be – pure mountain enjoyment. It should be a freeing, fresh-air, day out in the snow. It should involve strapping on a pair of skis and letting gravity do the rest
Virtuous Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
There is a gorgeous red wine waiting to be opened, poured and shared in this collection. This Virtuous Napa Valley Cabernet was bottled in 2016, with a deep, plum hue and a luscious, full-bodied flavor with big, hefty tannins and a remarkable balance. This Napa-born bottle is ideal for soft cheeses, grilled skirt steak or wild meats, be they cuts of venison or a roasted game hen.
No matter which category you fall into as an entertainer, we aim to create some Table Envy with this box. That’s the theme of the collection this month, and we cannot wait to invite you into this box, into these pages, to share the magic of salty charcuterie, fatty steaks, and a velvety red wine and the sour, tart fruit of a Belgian beer. We wanted to bring back that sense of childhood – but still retain that swanky, adult moment we need in a great party. We went to Lolli & Pops to include a spiced cotton candy and to a company called Forever Spin, which builds spinning tops out of striking metals.
