We wanted to base it upon French remoulade, then, we’ve been amazed at all the other things people are putting it on. It’s first purpose was a burger sauce, but it works on sandwiches and roasted vegetables. It’s really an ‘everything’ sauce.
They began with a ketchup, but soon expanded into a full line of mayonnaise –– a pantry staple rife with disturbing GMO additions in the consumer marketplace. Sir Kensington rose to his station in life, and insisted on free range, Iowa eggs, all certified humane. Their creamy, whipped essential for coleslaw or tartar sauce is also kosher. It's gluten-free and uses sunflower oil in the recipe; never dairy or soy. They made a vegan variety too.
After that, it was the Special Sauce. It seemed destined for a company standing out in a crowd to have a secret blend. It’s not so secret, though, because they wanted their customers to have a full picture of every single ingredient. Right there on the label, you’ll notice it notes the mayo base, with relish and paprika and crushed mustard seeds.
